The new Paper Lunch Bags by FLUF may look and feel like paper, but they are not afraid of your messy lunch and dripping water bottle.
Although Tyvek® resembles paper (it can be written and printed on), it is so much more. It is lighter than paper and considerably stronger. An innovative material made from high-density polyethylene fibers, Tyvek's original use was as a house wrap, providing a weather resistant barrier between the outer cladding of a structure and it's inner frame. So, needless to say, the material is rip-, tear- and puncture-resistant, non-combustible, and incredibly water and moisture resistant (As DuPont™ says, "making it just as protective in hurricane weather as it is from a coffee spill").
Seriously. If it can take this, it can take your little spill. Finally, marked with a "#2" recycling symbol, Tyvek® is 100% recyclable. According to DuPont™, it can also be safely incinerated, and because it yields water and carbon dioxide, it essentially leaves no residue for disposal. And, if recycling or incineration are not options, Tyvek® can be safely landfilled. Because it is chemically inert and contains no binders, Tyvek® will not leach into groundwater.
