The Initie series furoshiki wrapping cloths breath new winds into traditional Japanese patterns characterized by the soft textured motifs of Northern Europe linen.
What is a furoshiki wrapping cloth? A furoshiki is both a wrapping fabric and the technique used to tie it. It is used to wrap anything from bento boxes, flowers, books, wine bottles, etc. thus limiting plastic bags and reducing waste on top of giving your lunch boxes and gifts a super original style!
There is now a renewed interest in using these furoshiki’s as modern day and trendy fashion bags. Add one of our hand-made leather handles and you’ve just elevated the wrapping cloth to a very chic and unique fashion statement!
Can also be used as aprons and scarves.
Musubi uses a traditional technique so that the fabric can be reversible, with hues that match the modern lifestyle.
