An all new picnic lunch box with freezable non-toxic gel inside the lid.
Recipient of the 2006 Good Design Award by Japan IDPO, this box with an endearing polar bear face was made as a commemorative item to celebrate the Maruyama Zoo in Sapporo city (yes, where the beer is made).
Keep your lunch fresh and cool for hours and keep food poisoning at bay by storing your food with a convenient gel pack built right into the lid. Simply pop the lid in your freezer the night before. Food packed in the box with a pre-cooled lid will be kept cold for up to 6 hours. Once frozen, the lid can last up to 6 hours in an environment of 25 degrees C, keeping your food under 15 degrees C.
Since the gel pack is located in the lid, it doesn't take up much space in the freezer. All you have to do in the morning is to pack the food in the box and close it with the frozen lid. It will keep food cold until lunch ensuring a refreshingly cool and delicious meal!
The picnic lunch box has a removable inner divider, and a lid with an inner flexible, hermetically sealing element that makes the lid almost 100% leak-proof. It also comes with an elastic band to hold the cover.
I love these boxes because I don't have to worry about meats or dairy products in warm temperatures. I know the food will keep safe until lunch time.
MATERIALS & CARE
The outer part of the lid is made of ABS (safe temperature range: -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F)), and the inner divider element is made of polypropelene (safe temperature range: -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F)).
The flexible seal around the inside of the lid is made of silicone (safe temperature range: -40°C to 180°C (-40°F to 360°F)).
The flexible inner lid is made of an elastomere (safe temperature range : -60°C to 120°C (-76°F to 248°F)).
The box is microwave and dishwasher safe with the lids removed. The lid should be hand washed. The white silicone sealing element and the inner lid, can be removed for easy washing.
